Image Merge

The Image Merge tool combines multiple images into a single output image. The user’s intent is generally three things:

1. “Put two photos side by side” (before/after, comparison)
2. “Combine stacked” (product detail flow, storyboard)
3. “Create Grid/collage” (marketplace image set, Instagram collage, theme page)

What does it do?

• Combines multiple images into a single image:
  • Side by side (horizontal merge)
  • Stacked (vertical merge)
  • Grid / Collage (photo grid, collage)
• Downloads the output as a single file (JPG/PNG/WebP options).
• Automatically aligns and resizes if necessary (the most critical UX).

Usage Flow

1. Upload Images (multiple select / drag and drop)
2. Select layout:
   • Side by side
   • Stacked
   • Grid (rows/columns)
3. Set options:
   • Spacing (padding/gap)
   • Background color (white/black/transparent)
   • Alignment (top/middle/bottom – left/middle/right)
   • Resize (same height/same width/keep ratio)

Detailed Features (What Makes the Tool “Pro”)

1) Size Equalization Options (Most Important)

Merging has the biggest problem of “one having a different height, image record”. The following modes are essential:

• Same height: Ideal for side by side merging
• Same width: Ideal for stacked merging
• Keep aspect ratio: Scales without stretching the image
• (Optional) “Crop” mode: crops from the center to fit into the same box

2) Grid / Collage Settings

• Number of rows / columns
• Automatic layout (based on the number of images)
• If the last row is incomplete:
  • Center
  • Leave empty cells
  • Redistribute images

FAQ

Does it align images of different sizes properly?

Yes; the “same height / same width / keep aspect ratio” options are there for this.

Is transparent background possible?

If PNG output is selected, yes. There is no transparency in JPG.

Can I create a grid with many images?

Yes; you can create a collage with row/column settings.
